We have an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Manager -at UL Research Institutes and IL Standards & Engagement based in our Evanston, IL office.
The Treasury Manager is responsible for the management of UL Research Institutes (ULRI) and UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) cash management functions including establishing systems, policies, and procedures, and supporting the organizations through accurate and timely reporting for regulatory compliance and decision making. The Treasury Manager will provide oversight and direction on cash management, banking infrastructure and corporate card program to ULRI and ULSE affiliates globally. Provide treasury representation on various cross-functional teams and works with Treasury leadership on various initiatives.

What you'll learn & achieve:
Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities


  • Lead global cash management process and support affiliates' management globally on cash concentration and consolidation goals and process.
  • Lead company cash balance and forecast reporting.
  • Lead and administer the corporate card program.
  • Manage bank account administration function.
  • Manage daily treasury operations- wire and ACH input or approval.
  • Manage bank fees and fee structure, daily cash position, and short-term investments.
  • Support finance and other functional management on various issue resolution.
  • Manage treasury processes, recommends, and implements process improvements.
  • Provide support on various company initiatives.
  • Contribute to and/or lead other department specific and cross-functional initiatives.

    Professional Competencies

    • Ability to work effectively with other internal functions including Accounting, Tax, Legal, Portfolio & Risk Management, international affiliates, etc. to ensure successful treasury initiatives.
    • Expertise in all treasury functions and systems.
    • Excellent communication skills with experience working across multiple levels, functions, and regions. Ability to clearly communicate information and deliver presentations.
    • Strong analytic, organizational, and project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
    • Proactive problem-solving skills including the ability to define possible issues and provide proactive solutions, working on cross-functional projects.
    • Experience working in a global business environment with a sound understanding of global processes and transactional flows.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting theory and principles.
    • Strong computer proficiency.

      Experience and Education Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
      • Six years of directly related experience.
      • Treasury workstation experience is preferred.
