Job Description:

Extended Care Consulting LLC, team is growing, and we are seeking A/R Specialist / Bookkeeper to join our team.
Summary of position:
Perform all duties related to the timely and accurate for all aspects of tracking and data entry in the A/R department as assigned.Essential Job Functions:

• 
  
• Verify the census, payer changes, room transfers, resident admissions, and discharges from facilities daily census forms.
  
• Process and complete data entry for deposits.
  
• Process checks from trust fund for disbursement (dental, insurance withdrawals and refunds)
  
• Manages receivables assigned by identifying issues and taking appropriate action to resolve.
  
• Ancillary charges, upload and review for accuracy.
  
• Bridge claims to e-premise and reviewing claims for a payers (Medicare A/B, Insurance, Medicaid, and Managed Care Organizations).
  
• Process IHFS determination and income changes.
  
• Month end cash balance.
  
• Generate private pay and hospice monthly statements.
  
• Update DDMS/RFMS enrollment and closings of accounts.
  
• Escalates issue to A/R Supervisor if problem persists, or if necessary to address a probable global issue.
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Minimum of 1-2-year experience in health care A/R Bookkeeping, preferably long-term care.
    
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the bookkeeping and A/R proesses including coverage and entitlement criteria, billing rules, beneficiary rights and provider responsibilities.
    
  • Exposure to automated billing.
    
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    
  • Proficient in Excel
