LLP is a boutique healthcare firm with a client-centered ethos and
friendly work environment. The firm's work is 99% regulatory or
transactional, and we do very little litigation. We work with
small- to mid-sized healthcare practices on business and compliance
matters. We seek a full-time administrative assistant for our
Evanston office. Jackson LLP's office has been remodeled
specifically to offer exceptional COVID safety measures.The
administrative assistant will be expected to work approximately
8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. They will not work
evenings or weekends. We offer a comprehensive benefits package,
including paid time off and bonuses.Position Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:This role is
fast-paced, and the responsibilities are varied.
- Answer incoming calls.
- Respond to client emails and calls.
- Schedule prospective and existing client phone
appointments.
- Finalize, proofread, and send documents for the attorneys.
- Prepare documents for mailing, including preparing cover
letters, writing checks, and purchasing postage.
- Perform light bookkeeping functions, including invoicing
clients, collecting hourly workers' hours for payroll, making
vendor payments, and writing checks.
- Communicate with clients to answer questions about their
invoices.
- Light data entry.
- Assist firm administrator with client management tasks as
required.
- Serve as "backup" to firm administrator when she's out of the
office.REQUIREMENTS:
- General Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Office experience preferred but not required
- Interest in long-term position
- Professional Skills
- High technological competency and attention to detail
- Familiarity with bookkeeping or a willingness to learn
- Comfortable with highly variable tasks, which will range from
complex to rote
- Discretion when handling confidential information and
communications
- Comfortable engaging via various communication mediums,
including feeling comfortable making and taking frequent phone
calls
- Personal Qualifications
- Ability to work in Evanston and reside within 20 minutes of the
office
- Driver's license and vehicle
- COVID-conscious (see more under "Additional Information"
below)
- Friendly. Our office is a non-competitive, supportive
