Job Description:
Delivery Lead (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc.- Chicago,
Illinois): Lead the design, delivery, implementation, and support
for BCG's client facing software solutions. Specific job duties:
deliver, install, configure, implement, and provide technical
support for specific client facing software applications; recommend
processes to optimize the business value delivered by the
application, source and prepare data, manage required client
processes changes, oversee installation, set up, and configuration
of the application according to the requirements, and train
client's end user; identify required changes in a client's business
processes and systems infrastructure, and define approaches to
configure and setup software applications; develop blueprint for
the future state of a stakeholders data management requirements,
and develop and implement new data processes based on client's
specific data needs; perform advanced analytics and leverage
available platforms to architect and create scalable reporting
solutions alongside applications; effectively break down solution
into parts/tasks (I.E. Fragmentation) to delegate action items to
team members and provide timelines; work with clients information
security teams to gather required configurations and coordinate
with BCG IT infrastructure teams to install and configure software
to meet client requirements; provide first-class training to BCG
case teams, clients' application user group and IT team to enable
them to operate, monitor, and support the application; collaborate
with vendors and other available resources to diagnose and resolve
system technical and/or non-technical problems, bugs, performance,
and other issues; document, track, and monitor bugs, problems, and
issues to ensure timely resolution; moderate discussions with
internal and/or client infrastructure, and risk and security teams
to ensure compliance and readiness of the software for deployment;
assist with UAT testing for new releases and also document
production bugs and workarounds to development team; onboard and
train new team members to be able to engage in a project setting,
serve as a coach/mentor to new and junior team members; and take
active part in crowd sourcing technical information on specific
implementation methodologies and/or code from team to create
structured documentation for future use. Requires a Bachelor's
degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related
field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five
(5) years of experience in application implementation and support,
technical troubleshooting, software development, designing and
delivering formal end user training, technical support, and
onboarding internal and external users to new systems and processes
or, alternatively, a Master's degree and three (3) years of
experience as stated above. Specific skills/other requirements Must
also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements
not applicable to this section): providing end-to-end support on
the technical aspects of cases including deployment, data
migration, system integration, configuration, troubleshooting and
technology workarounds in case of tool bugs and limitations;
customizing and configuring tools per client needs by using MS SQL
Server, developing data ETL processes, performing SQL programming
and developing, and VBA or other programming languages; designing
and developing Executive dashboards using tools like Tableau and
Power BI; leading client IT and security considerations and audits
through direct collaboration with client stakeholders; performing
data analytics modeling to define and implement databases and
warehouses to store data from closed cases for analytics using
tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel; and leading,
onboarding, mentoring team members and overseeing team capacity
management. Travel required (up to 50%) based on client/company
need. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 45+ hours per week. Multiple
