Onsite or Remote? HybridJob Profile Summary:CAI is hiring!CAI is seeking a QA Engineer for one of our top clients. This is a 6+ month contract hybrid opportunity. Our client is based in Evanston, Illinois. Candidates must be willing to go onsite 2-3 days per week.This position is a 35-hour work week. Due to our end client, candidates must be based in a commutable distance to Evanston.Our client is a well-respected and nationally recognized not-for-profit corporation that conducts scholarship programs. Headquartered in Chicago's North Shore, the corporation employs 35 full-time employees.Responsibilities and Duties:* Our client's current IT landscape primarily includes .NET, SharePoint, Java, AS/400 with SQL Server, Postgres and DB2 database backends.* The following Project Management methodologies are adopted: Hybrid Agile/SCRUM (software development) and Waterfall (infrastructure projects).* Perform manual and automated testing.* Testing of websites and work with ETL.* Develop test cases and test data setup.Qualifications* Education and Experience:* 5+ years of testing experience - (hands on UI and data related testing).* 3+ years SQL experience, strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, with ability to understand and write complex queries.* Manual testing covering functional, Non-Functional, and Analytical testing.* Solid experience in Test Automation using Selenium, WebDriver - developing test cases, test data setup.* Ability to understand complex business processes & workflow, functional & technical process of application, perform data analysis, validation, and verification.* Experience creating test plans and detailed test cases.* Experience preparing requirement traceability documents.* Technical - SQL Server, Java, Excel, Gherkin, Cucumber, GIT, ETL* Methodology: Agile -normal course of project execution is under Agile methodology; Waterfall - some of the QA projects run under waterfall methodology.Desired Education and Experience:* Familiarity with JIRA, confluence, TFS, SVN* Experience using JMeter* Experience with performance and load testing* Experience with HP Quality Center* .NET, AS400/DB2 (IBM i), Postgres, SSISSkills:* Strong communication skills - ability to interact with senior developers and business product owners* Highly motivated self-starter and team player with ability to work under minimal supervisionPhysical Demands* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards.* Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.* Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
