Position Highlights:Position: Surgical SchedulerDepartment: MG - Minimum Invasive SurgeryLocation: Evanston HospitalFull Time/Part Time: Full timeHours: Monday-FridayRequired Travel: Travel to other Medical Group Offices may be requiredWhat you will need:Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience requiredExperience: Patient Support Associate for 6 months or related experience and/or training. Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs, preferred EPIC knowledge and experience, preferred What you will do:Utilize Epic to schedule all new, established, and post-op patients in accordance with patient and physician preferences, physician availability, and practice protocolsReceive, keep track of, and organize surgery requestsAccurately enter in OpTime or communicate to the OR team the appropriate surgical procedure and any special equipment or needs that each case requiresEnsure patients receive appropriate instructions surrounding their surgery/procedureCoordinate pre-operative testing (including, but not limited to lab tests, diagnostic tests, and intra-operative tests)NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) is an integrated healthcare delivery system consistently ranked as a Top 15 Teaching Hospital in the U.S. The NorthShore system, headquartered in Evanston, Ill., includes six award-winning hospitals - Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Northwest CommunitySkokie, and Swedish.
