Overview & Responsibilities

Lead Certified Nursing Assistant:

General Summary:
Responsible for assisting Residents in their daily living routines. Welcomes all new admissions. Exudes strong communication and relationship building skills.Attends care plan meetings as needed. Be a "person-centered care champion."Ensure assignments are complete (CNAs logged into care predict, care tracking in ALIS is completed). Assist with training new CNA or agency CNA. Positive teamwork attitude always. Assist with making sure laundry/garbage/bed making gets completed. Assist with emergency clean-ups. Duties are performed under the indirect supervision of the Nurse or Supervisor, with established procedures and guidelines. Errors in accuracy, judgment, and level of professionalism affect the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of the department, ultimately impacting residents, their families, management, and co-worker's trust levels. All three shifts available: 6am to 2pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 11pm to 7am overnight.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
Responsible for the "Assisted Daily Living" duties and functions that allow the Residents to be clean and comfortable. i.e., transferring, mobility, bathing, changing briefs, peri-care, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, changing bed linens, etc.

Physically ensures the Residents get to appointments such as salons, transportation, activities, and meals, including pushing wheelchairs, following closely behind walkers, keeping track of and responding to schedules. Responsible for the Residents under their care & recording communications for co-workers, shift summaries and care notes.

Qualifications

Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop or sit for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise, move objects/people weighing more than 50lbs
Work for sustained periods maintaining concentrated attention to safety, detail, and accuracy

Requirements:
Required to participate in Covid-19 testing as requested by administration, ownership, or the State Regulatory Agencies.
Required to receive or provide documentation of the Covid-19 Vaccine, excluding religious or medical exemptions.
Required to receive the annual Flu vaccine, excluding religious or medical exemptions.
