Job Description - Clinical Geneticist (83221) Job Description Clinical Geneticist - ( 83221 ) Clinical Geneticist opportunity with a Nationally Recognized Personalized Medicine Program at NorthShore University HealthSystem The Department of Medicine at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore), the principal teaching affiliate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks an outstanding clinical geneticist who is passionate about providing quality patient care and innovating on how that care is delivered across a health system. Neiman Center for Personalized Medicine. The clinic practice focuses on adult genetics but cares for pediatric patients as well. Clinical duties include cancer risk assessment and genetic testing for hereditary cancer syndromes in addition to other hereditary disorders including but not limited to cardiology, neurology, nephrology, and musculoskeletal, and management consultation for general genetic syndromes. - As part of the Neaman Center for Personalized Medicine, the successful candidate will have opportunities to participate and lead innovative efforts to incorporate genomics across the health system which build on our successful pharmacogenomics and population based genomics initiatives in primary care while supporting our medical specialists. The Center collaborates in cutting-edge genomic research, is a national leader in creating and evaluating computerized family history tools, and has a growing emphasis on incorporating genomic technologies, including predictive analytics, into the clinic and the entire health system. The successful candidate will join a core team of two geneticists, one hematology/oncology physician, six clinical genetic counselors, two pharmacogeneticists, and one research genetic counselor. Candidates who are board certified in a Primary Care Specialty, e.g. FM, IM, OBGYN, and BE/BC in Clinical Genetics with a strong interest in practicing adult and pediatric genetic medicine (non-metabolic), will be considered.
