Staff Nurse, Interventional Radiology *15K Sign-On*, Evanston$15K Sign-On Bonus

For external candidates with 1 years of experience as an RN in one of the following areas (IR, ER, ICU or PACU)

Position Highlights:

* Required Experience: Critical care, emergency, PACU or Med/Surg Tele experience highly preferred
* Skills: IV moderate sedation highly preferred
* Education & Certs: IL RN license, BLS & ACLS CPR required. BSN highly preferred.
* Hours: Days, 7 am -5 pm varied start; no weekends, pms, holidays (on call only)
* Required Travel: Must be able to travel to other sites when needed (Evanston, Skokie, Highland Park, Glenview)
* Call Schedule: 6-8 times per month with rotating weekends, must be within 30 minutes of hospital sites. Call would be either Evanston & Skokie OR Highland Park & Glenbrook (Glenview)

Job Duties:

* Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients in the Interventional Radiology department
* Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
* Prepare patients for procedures and monitor patient's condition periodically
* Monitor the patient intra-procedure, including cardiac monitoring. provide moderate sedation and circulate as appropriate to support the procedure
* Recover patients post-procedure until discharge to the next level of care
* Responsible for covering emergency on-call during after hours, weekends and holidays on a fair rotation
* Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
* Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
* Daily quality rounds on medications and supplies and other equipment as applicable
* Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
