The unit also has 3-6 Intermediate cardiac stepdown beds. The unit operates 24-hours a day, 365 days out of the year catering to an adult and geriatric patient population.The Staff Nurse will engage in relationship-based care providing holistic, patient-centered care to achieve healthy relationships in a safe, healing, caring environment enabling patients and family to equally partner in the multidisciplinary care provided.What you will do:* Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit* Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care* Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care* Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care* Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experienceWhat you will need:* License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required* Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred* Certification: BLS/CPR certification required (American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider)* Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in an office or hospital setting preferredNorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) is an integrated healthcare delivery system consistently ranked as a Top 15 Teaching Hospital in the U.S. The NorthShore system, headquartered in Evanston, Ill., includes six award-winning hospitals - Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Northwest Community Skokie, and Swedish.
