Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 8 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title Registered Nurse - ICU Location Evanston, IL Schedule / Job Type Full-time, night shift, contract Key Responsibilities Provide intensive care nursing for ICU patients, including cardiac, neuro, and medical-surgical cases. Float to other units such as Emergency Department, ICU, or UCU to support patient care. Follow established protocols and provide critical care to high-acuity patients. Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. Maintain all required documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies. Adhere to on-call and weekend rotation requirements, including holiday coverage. Required Qualifications Active Illinois nursing license. Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, particularly in cardiac and neuro units. Current CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Epic EMR experience. Ability to pass an EKG test. Skills checklist and recent references. Preferred Experience / Skills Strong critical care skills with experience in diverse ICU settings. Experience in busy hospital environments with float requirements. Flexibility to work night shifts and weekend rotations. $2142 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
