This travel nursing job offers the chance to make a real impact in a collaborative, supportive environment.\n \n\nIllinois Nursing Job Details\n \n Location: Evanston, IL 60201 (Chicago metro area)\n Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Level I Trauma Center\n Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)\n Employment Type: Travel RN Contract\n Start Date: December 8, 2025\n End Date: January 19, 2026\n Duration: 6 weeks\n Shifts: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts (19:00 - 07:30)\n Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week\n Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n Floating Requirement: May float to sister facilities within Endeavor Health (Glenbrook, Skokie, Highland Park, Evanston)\n Charting System: Epic EMR\n Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770 - $1820\n \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state\n At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience\n BLS and ACLS certifications required\n CCRN and NIHSS certifications preferred\n Strong neurosurgical nursing experience (EVDs, post-op craniotomy, stroke thrombectomy/TNK)\n Proficiency with ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, nitric oxide, tracheostomies, and laryngectomy care\n Willingness to float between multiple hospital locations\n Epic charting experience preferred\n Must pass EKG test (84% or higher) on first day\n First-time travel nurses and local candidates welcome\n \n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n \n Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric ICU patients\n Manage complex critical care cases: CABG/valve, ECMO, LVAD, TAVR, Impella, neurosurgical populations (EVD, post-craniotomy, ischemic/hemorrhagic strokes, TPA, deep brain stimulators, laminectomies)\n Care for OB hemorrhagic patients (Bakri balloon) and eclamptic postpartum patients\n Administer and monitor conscious sedation, ICP, IV starts, pulmonary artery lines, and telemetry\n Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy)\n Float to other critical care units within the Endeavor Health system as needed\n Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR\n Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards\n \n Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your ICU nursing career in Evanston, Illinois!
