Sonographer – Day Shifts – Evanston, IL Location: Evanston, IL
Start Date: 11/17/2025 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day: 5x8-hour
shifts (07:00 – 15:30), exact start time may vary (7:00–8:30am
start) Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends every 4th–6th weekend
(may include Saturday or Sunday) On-Call Requirement: Yes, coverage
at Evanston and Highland Park; 6–7 days per contract including
evenings, nights, and weekends Job Overview: We are seeking a
highly skilled Pediatric Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer to join
our multi-facility team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in
performing neonatal, pediatric, and adult echocardiograms ,
including both inpatient and outpatient studies. You will provide
care in Labor & Delivery and Infant Special Care Units, performing
high-quality structural, stress, contrast, bubble, and
transesophageal echocardiograms . Responsibilities: Perform
pediatric echocardiograms for patients of all ages, including
neonates and infants under 1 year old. Conduct adult
echocardiograms as needed. Perform advanced echo procedures: bubble
studies, pharmacologic stress echo, treadmill stress echo, 3D echo,
M-mode, TEE, portable and outpatient studies. Follow and learn
hospital protocols; achieve competency sign-off within 1–2 days.
Float between multiple facilities as needed. Complete Epic charting
documentation (preferred). Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
including interpretation services, lift teams, transportation, and
unit secretaries. Maintain daily caseload (~7 patients per 8-hour
shift). Requirements: Minimum 3 years of Echo Tech/Cardiac
Sonographer experience (pediatric and adult) Certifications: ARDMS
RDCS AE, RCS or RDCS, BLS required; CCI preferred Proficiency with
Philips and Siemens equipment Experience with pediatric and adult
acute care and outpatient settings Valid licensure at time of
assignment COVID-19 vaccination required Transportation required
for floating between multiple facilities Preferred Skills: Epic
charting experience Structural echocardiogram experience Previous
travel or floating experience Work Environment: Short-term acute
care hospital system Level I Trauma Center, teaching hospital, 719
staffed beds Inpatient and outpatient care settings Multi-facility
float required, but aim to keep staff within 1–3 locations per
contract Rates & Benefits: Additional Information: Orientation: 1–2
