Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Chicago, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,074 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/3/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Intensive Care Unit License: Must have an active nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Strong skills in arterial line management - Experience with management of BiPAP and CPAP - Capable of caring for ventilated patients - Proficient in central line care and management - Skilled in continuous IV sedation and interpretation of arterial blood gases - Familiar with dysrhythmias management - Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE - Competent in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Able to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips - Experienced in ventilator management - Proficient in computerized documentation Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit. Nurses will work three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. No block scheduling is available. Every other weekend commitment is required. Requests for time off are limited to 5 days total, with no more than 2 consecutive days. Requests for time off are not accepted on holidays or the days before or after holidays. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs. All clinical staff may be asked to float to other areas not exceeding 50 miles. If unable to meet floating requests, travel staff may face cancellation of shifts. Candidates must be responsive in providing necessary documentation in a timely manner. Lab work must be completed swiftly after accepting the assignment. There are no guarantees regarding assigned units. Nurses will adhere to established compliance deadlines. This position requires strong proficiency and comfort in high-stress environments typical of ICU settings. Candidates should have strong teamwork skills. Excellent communication abilities are essential for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
