This position will encompass Medical Director responsibilities for the PHP/IOP program for adolescents and adults. What you will do: Provide physician leadership and psychiatric treatment to A Partial Hospitalization Program and Psychiatric clinic Committed to working on-site 5 days per week with PHP/IOP and clinic patients. Supervise Advance Practice Providers Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans. Providing evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care. Monitoring and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes, using a patient-centered and recovery-oriented approach. Administering and managing psychotropic medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations. Participating in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to review patient progress and provide recommendations for care. Educating and supporting patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for coping and self-management. Staying informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care through ongoing professional development and training.
