Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel The Progressive Care Unit RN, as a professional practitioner, assumes the responsibility and accountability for delivering patient care to telemetry/progressive care patients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. This individual employs critical thinking and performance ability in the coordinator of patient care, consistently performs according to nursing standards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. The Progressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiac stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, the PCU is also known as a transition or intermedia unit. EOW; EOH; 2 years PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care experience; traveler will be placed on a unit where the greatest need is whether it is a PCU or Med/Surg/Tele unit based on the traveler's skills; will accept a M/S or Stepdown RN - same credentialing for both skills; will need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed About Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.
