Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Diabetes RN in Rockford, Illinois, 61103! Job Title:
Certified Diabetic Educator Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Certified Diabetic Educator Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to
Friday Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years License:
Licensed as an RN in the state of IL and WI Certifications:
Approved CPR certification required within 90 days; CDCES
certification required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited nursing
program; BSN preferred Description: Provides compassionate,
culturally sensitive, holistic nursing care to patients in a
clinical setting, supporting the nursing mission and practice
values. May include variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or
on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned, including
floating to various units based on needs and clinical competency.
Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with
interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers
prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved
nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and
state laws. Documents according to standards of care. Develops,
initiates, and executes a patient plan of care based on the
individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician
and/or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction.
Participates in department or unit performance improvement
activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical
expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the
patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking in
regard to patient safety and patient experience, escalating issues
to the appropriate chain of command. Participates in the
professional nursing continuum process. Acts as a resource to staff
on patient education program/materials development and patient
education issues or problems. The Educator serves as a patient
advocate who addresses clinical, psychosocial, and financial
