Description Job Summary: The Banquet Server is responsible for providing set-ups, breakdowns and food service to the guests at Villa Olivia banquet/catering functions. This is an at-will position. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. High School degree preferred. Must have or be able to obtain within 30 days of employment – Illinois Safe Food Handler Certificate and BASSETT certification. Must be dependable and able to follow direction. Ability to exercise good judgment. Hours & Pay: Hours vary depending on business needs. Starting pay @ $9.00/hour plus tips. Attend district-wide part-time staff orientations, crisis trainings and office staff trainings as directed. Comply with the District’s Dress Code by coming to work in clean, presentable clothing. Assists in the set-ups and breakdowns for all banquet/catering functions including the clean-up following the conclusion of all events. Assembles prepared food and drinks onto trays and transports trays out to be served. Serves tables during banquet/catering events. Provides general service and attention to dining area, including keeping furnishings, wait stations and bus stations, clean and organized. Provides consistently high guest service at all time. Be courteous and helpful at all times. Observe and follow all Park District safety policies and regulations. The safety of staff and participants is a continuing responsibility of all employees. The District encourages its employees to “take ownership” of the District. As such, it shall be the responsibility of all Park District employees to pick up litter throughout the buildings, grounds, and facilities of the District. Perform other duties as assigned.
