Nurse Practitioner (PNP/NNP), Neonatology / NICU, 24 hrs/wk, Arlington HeightsPosition Highlights:

* Position: Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology / NICU
* Location: Northwest Community Hospital at 800 W. Central Rd in Arlington Heights (part of NorthShore University HealthSystem)
* Full Time/Part Time: Part-time, 24 hours per week
* Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM; rotating weekends and holidays will be required.
* Required Travel: N/A

What you will need:

* License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
* Education: N/A
* Certification: BLS/CPR certification required. Pediatric APN certification required; Neonatal APN certification strongly preferred
* Experience: Prior APN experience in pediatrics highly preferred
* Skills: N/A

What you will do:

* Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease
* Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams
* Attend to well newborns
* Attend to newborn readmissions for hyperbilirubinemia
* Attend at the weekly NICU developmental follow up clinic
* Perform inpatient prenatal consultation
* Attend select deliveries
* Round in NICU each morning
* Attend to select NICU babies
