As we continue to grow our firm, we are currently looking for an Associate Legal Counsel to join our office in Evanston, IL to support our client relationships and delivery. Our clients are - in industries ranging from healthcare to high-tech to financial services and beyond. -The ZS Legal Team offers a flexible and collaborative working environment to support ZS' fast-growing, innovative and cutting-edge services and technology products. - We are looking for someone who is ready to partner with our business teams to cover all aspects of client engagement, including negotiating complex client transactions, developing legal frameworks for new ZS practice areas, and steering long-term projects while working with Senior Legal Counsel.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted business partner for ZS stakeholders that support our client engagements;
Prepare review, revise and negotiate legal documents to ensure the firm's obligations are compatible with management's philosophy
Respond to issues as they arise in diverse matters affecting day-to-day business operations by assisting, advising, investigating, researching and resolving legal matters
Collaborate with others on the legal team and within ZS when subject matter expertise is required;
Ensure the firm's compliance with legal policies, state and federal laws, and regulations
Identify potential legal issues related to proposed transactions
Participate in structuring and negotiating transactions and set procedures to reduce risk
Qualifications:
JD degree with strong academic background required
1-2 years of relevant work experience, IL attorney license (or registered in-house counsel in IL)
Superior oral and written communication skills
Motivation, personal initiative and strong team/interpersonal skills
Strong analytic skills and problem solving ability
Proven attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Enthusiasm for global collaborationExperience negotiating agreements
Ability to manage and complete long-term projects independently.
