Job Description:
Baker Manufacturing Company, LLC, a leader in the production of
innovative water systems and high-quality iron castings, is seeking
an experienced Material Handling Supervisor to oversee and enhance
our warehouse and inventory operations. This role is critical in
supporting our mission to facilitate global water movement by
ensuring efficient, safe, and effective handling of all materials
and products. The successful candidate will bring a strong
background in material handling within a manufacturing setting and
exhibit a proactive and organized approach to team management and
operational excellence. Oversee daily warehouse operations,
ensuring efficiency and safety in handling materials and products.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize
stock levels and minimize waste. Train and lead a team of material
handlers, setting performance standards and evaluating progress.
Collaborate with production managers to streamline material flow to
and from production lines, optimizing productivity. Monitor
equipment and schedule regular maintenance to ensure operational
reliability. Implement safety protocols for material handling and
ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Prepare reports and analyze data on material usage, stock levels,
and operational efficiency to aid in strategic planning.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems and databases. Strong
leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and
problem-solving abilities. Ability to operate forklifts and other
material handling equipment. Knowledge of best practices in
material handling and inventory management. Strong communication
and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certified in Production and Inventory Management
(CPIM) or similar. Forklift Operator Certification.
