The Senior Program Manager leads a group of projects and/or programs supporting a major enterprise initiative(s). They provide governance, oversight and coaching related to multiple projects supporting large, strategic, and complex programs.

  • Responsible for leading and managing the implementation of large, complex, cross-functional, global, and strategic. Oversees a collection of projects making up a program. May manage multiple programs/projects and related program/project managers.
  • Provides overall leadership and support to one or more enterprise-wide programs
  • Plans the overall program, monitors the progress, and performs daily program management duties throughout the program life cycle
    Serves as Point of Contact on all program related activities, issues, and risks. Manages risks and issues and takes corrective measurements. Identify and escalate risks as appropriate
  • Interfaces with C-Suite Executives and Business Unit Leaders.
  • Effectively communicate and stakeholder key leaders across the program
  • Defines the program governance (controls). Develop key program metrics. Facilitate portfolio/program level reviews addressing action items, risk, issues, and drive to resolution. Complete status reports
    Manages the program’s budget and financial performance. Baseline scope, schedule, budget, and resources. Manage Change Requests as necessary
  • Plans, manages, and effectively utilizes people resources across the program and projects.
  • Coordinates the project deliverables. Identify, document and report on project/program interdependencies with other key initiativesMay manage the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives and goals, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to
  • Lead, manage and support the Global Project Management (GPM) process. Work directly with GPM advisor team and project managers while overseeing project portfolio
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices
  • Performs other duties as directed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology; Advanced degree preferred plus generally 12+ years of project management experience successfully completing large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work.
  • PMP and/or Agile certifications preferred but not required with related hands on delivery experience.
  • ITIL Foundations preferred but not required.
  • Success in leading projects and programs in strategy deployment, operations improvement, technology projects, or similar across multiple businesses and/or functions
  • Strong program and project management skill including experience with of multiple project approaches (e.g., waterfall, agile), collaboration techniques, and experience in leading organizational change management for a project
  • Experience in project/program/portfolio financial and resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting
  • Experience partnering with businesses and functions to foster collaboration and provide support
  • Experience leading teams of people through indirect leadership
  • Experience developing, evaluating and submitting business cases for major capital investments and success in achieving the business case
  • Experience with cross geographical project coordination and management
