BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM MANAGER

 

JOB FUNCTION:

The Business Transformation Program Manager executes a series of projects as a group within a program to create efficiencies and achieve one set of program goals.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the operational implementation of large and complex transformational programs
  • Provides overall leadership and support to one or more project teams
  • Acts as a liaison between operations and IT and be able to translate the operations needs to IT.
  • Acts as front-line contact on program related activities, issues, and risks. Manages risks
  • and issues and takes corrective measurements
  • Lead customer facing inititives by working with Digital Team and Product Management team 
  • Plans the overall program and monitors the progress, and performs daily program
  • management throughout the program life cycle
  • Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies
  • Manages and utilizes resources across projects
  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • Over ten years of project management experience running large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work
  • Desired experience leading transformational projects and/or Digital projects  
  • Experience with cross geographical project coordination and management
  • Experience with developing RFI/RFP and scoring mechanisms preferred
  • Experience in Organizational Change Management

SKILLS

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, technical and business acumen and industry knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, with Executive Level reporting and escalation experience.
  • Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple sites
  • Communication across programs, projects and areas (business functions and IT functions)
  • Background in the development of strategic and tactical planning of technology and people resources necessary for successful completion of several large-scale projects
  • Ability to influence and articulate the program benefits from an objective data driven perspective.
  • Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision
  • Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
  • Ability to make decisions independently and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and financial skills
  • Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred. Examples include: MBA, MA in
  • Project Management, or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or
  • equivalent work experience
