Job Description:

Blazerworks, in partnership with the local school district, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Death Hard of Hearing Specialist to join our team in Evanston, IL. As a specialist in supporting individuals with hearing impairments, you will play a crucial role in providing education and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing while enjoying competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Assess students' needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) to address their unique challenges.
Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to accommodate students' hearing impairments.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
Utilize assistive technology and resources to enhance students' communication and academic success.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and communication with stakeholders. Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Certification or licensure in Deaf Education or willingness to obtain certification.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required.
- Experience working with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school setting.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and resources for individuals with hearing impairments.
