Responsibilities

As a Systems Analyst on our Public Sector Financial Services team, you will be working on a project to modernize web application on an Agile project team. You will analyze non-functional requirements, develop user stories, and work closely with stakeholders, enterprise and application architects, database administrators and developers to ensure technical and system requirements are accounted for. You will also work closely with the Scrum Master and Project Managers to plan and organize Sprints. -Specific responsibilities will include: -

  • System analysis that will leverage your technical background, working in conjunction with both internal and customer technical stakeholders to populate and manage the team's backlog with Epics and Stories.
  • Planning for technical project execution, tracking, presenting and incorporating data-driven metrics to drive improvements, defining and recording current and future business processes and identifying potential improvements. The position will require working closely with Program and Project Managers, Project Architect / Technical Lead, and our customer.
  • Perform system analysis to define technical requirements, acceptance criteria, conceptual diagrams, flow charts, and use cases.
  • Critically review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and customer needs, producing clear stories and documentation.
  • Recommend and assist with the implementation of agile team structure Work with Architect / Tech Lead to plan for execution of technical Roadmap
  • Liaise with internal and external project stakeholders to help coordinate agile across the large program
  • Work with Product Owner to ensure a groomed, quality Agile backlog
  • Maintain project life-cycle documentation and tactical and strategic project tracking systems, primarily Atlassian Confluence, Jira, and Portfolio
  • Manage existing and define new process flows to identify improvement opportunities
  • Manage all procedural documentation and security approval requirements throughout the development lifecycle
  • Prepare and deliver status updates, working sessions, and program area updates
    Qualifications

    Required: -
    • 1+ years of technical or analyst experience in enterprise application systems
    • Solid understanding of Agile development life cycle and knowledge in both Agile and traditional project management
    • Experience working on software development project, including the ability to interface with customer to help clearly define scope and requirements
    • Ability to synthesize requirements into planning for development, test, and production deployment of an enterprise software system
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Detailed understanding of software development life cycles
    • Detailed Software development and operational systems knowledge
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
    • Experience with Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)
    • High proficiency with presentation and web communication tools
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff
    • Self-starter with strong self-management skills to organize multiple priorities
    • Customer-focused
    • Ability to attain Federal Government Position of TrustPreferred:
      • Familiar with information technology architecture, governance, and data exchange
      • Familiarity working with a cloud hosting provider
      • Familiarity with Federal Government projects
      • Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its influence on system requirements
      • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field -
