Transit team as Fleet Maintenance Manager in the Greater Chicago
area. The Maintenance Manager will supervise the maintenance and
repair of buses and support vehicles to contract requirements. We

- Schedules and administers fleet maintenance and assists in
troubleshooting problems with vehicles and equipment.
- Communicates availability of vehicles for service with
dispatchers and the operations department.
- In relation to subordinates, is responsible for employment
decisions, training, and development; planning and directing the
work; disciplining; handling employee complaints or grievances; and
handling performance reviews. Qualifications
- Technical training preferred
- Valid IL CDL B w/Passenger endorsement
- 5 years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience
- Experience maintaining a fleet of 70 or more buses
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining a
qualified maintenance program
- Experience with Eldorado or equivalent paratransit or
fixed-route buses
- Completion of Automotive Service Excellence certification (ASE)
of (A1-A9, H8) or equivalent manufacturer training and
certifications related to Pace vehicle operations is preferred but
not required.
- Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does
