Job Description:
Loyola University Medical Center, Department of Radiation
Oncology, seeks a highly motivated Medical Physicist to join the
dynamic faculty at the main campus. This is a full-time faculty
appointment, with academic rank and compensation commensurate with
experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will join a
group consisting of nine medical physicists who have clinical
responsibilities throughout our network in brachytherapy, SRS/SBRT,
TBI, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be Board
Certified (or Board Eligible) with a PhD in Medical Physics or
related field, and a strong clinical background in Radiation
Oncology Physics. The position offers an excellent opportunity to

scholarship within a thriving academic environment. The ideal
candidate qualifications: Board Certified (or Board Eligible) with
a PhD in Medical Physics or related field Strong clinical
background in Radiation Oncology Physics. Excellent communication
skills, the ability to solve problems and to work both
independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary
environment. Commitment to teaching physics and medical residents,
medical physics residents, and medical physics graduate students
(MS level) Development of independent research projects. Loyolas
Radiation Oncology Department is equipped with state-of-the-art
treatment technology and a comprehensive suite of clinical and
academic resources: Cutting-Edge Technology: 3 Varian TrueBeams, 1
Varian Edge, 1 Varian Ethos, 3 CT simulators, Aria/Eclipse/Ethos
systems, Elekta Flexitron, Zeiss Intrabeam. Comprehensive Services:
SRS, SBRT, HDR, TBI, IORT, hyperthermia, Online Adaptive RT.
Dynamic Team: 6 faculty physicists, 3 clinical physicists, 1
physicist-scientist, 6 dosimetrists, 2 medical physics residents.
